A swing gate operator is an arm or ram motor that opens your gate like a door. We install single and dual swing operators, including LiftMaster LA400 and LA500 models.

From a single garden gate to a heavy double driveway gate, we match the operator to the gate’s weight and length and set it up to close softly and lock tight.

Room to swing

A swing gate needs clear space for each leaf to open. If your driveway slopes up from the street, the gate may need to swing out, or a sliding gate may fit better. We check this on your free visit.

Strong posts matter

A heavy gate pulls hard on its hinge post. We check posts and hinges first, because a leaning post will wear out any opener fast.

Worth it

Gates and fences have the highest return on investment of any outdoor upgrade.

Add security, privacy, and curb appeal in one project. Swing Gate Operators quotes are 100% free.

Questions & answers

Swing Gate Operators: common questions

Can one motor open a double gate?

No. Each leaf of a double gate gets its own arm, and both connect to one control box so they open and close together.

My swing gate closes hard and bangs. Can you fix that?

Yes. We adjust the opener’s speed and stop settings and check the gate stop. A gate that slams wears out hinges and the operator quickly.

Can the gate swing out toward the street?

It can, but we usually avoid it because it can block the sidewalk. If your driveway slopes, we will show you safer options.

How much does a swing gate opener cost?

A gate opener install typically costs $2,500–$6,000. We give 100% free estimates, and prices may vary.
